Our Checklist

Our first blog post is not what we had envisaged but given this unprecedented situation, we felt the need to share our thoughts and what we will be doing in the hope that sharing will help others.

Eat fresh where possible

We have just ordered a fruit & vege box from our online markets.  Last night we boiled up a whole chicken with veges and will be using leftover stock for other meals.  You can boost your health with bone broths, soups, stews and Turmeric is also an immunity booster.

Drink plenty of water

Each morning we start the day with a glass of water and slice of lemon to aid the digestive system, detoxify and boost immunity.  You could also add ginger and honey for an extra boost.

Spend some time in nature

If you are able to get out and spend time in nature, go for a walk.  If you are confined to your home, even just sitting outside and taking in your surroundings with deep calming breaths and let your mind wonder.

Gentle exercise

There are plenty of workouts online and on YouTube you can do in the comfort of your home.  Yoga is a good one, we like the beginner sessions on YouTube Yoga with Adriene.

Don't panic

If you find yourself being caught up in the hysteria and panic, just take a moment to ground yourself.  Deep calm breaths within your body, imagine yourself surrounded in a bubble of white healing light and breathe this into your heart.

Journaling and meditation

This is the perfect time to start.  There is no right or wrong way to journal, let your thoughts flow freely without judgement.  Just take a pen and paper and write your thoughts, worries, fears and anything you wish to release from your mind.  We like to write for as long as we feel necessary without reading over what has been written then tear up the paper.

Listen to the advice

Here in Australia we have regular updates you can refer to for the latest alerts and tips on preventing the spread of the virus, some useful links are:

Get more sleep and relax

Try to get restful sleep, give your body a chance to restore and rejuvenate.  Wind down before bed, limit device time and over stimulation.

Keep up communication with family and friends via skype, video calls, email and messaging.  We are all in this together and the support with others will help with not feeling so isolated.

Crystals that may help

Go with what feels right for you but during times of stress and anxiety we use Fluorite, Selenite, Amethyst, Blue Lace Agate, Angelite, Tourmaline, Lepidolite, Clear Quartz, Rose Quartz.  You could even make a crystal grid for yourself and your home, we will talk more about these in the coming weeks.

Look after your home

With spending a lot of time in your home environment make it feel fresh and clear, uplifting and positive.  You can do this with fresh flowers, candles, burn some incense, essential oils in a burner or spray bottle, and smudging which we will talk about in the coming weeks.  Now would be the time to give your house a clean and remove any clutter.
